Girl Edge Films partnered with AWOMI (African Women's Millennium Initiative on
Poverty and Human Rights)in Dakar, Senegal to document and showcase their work
and professional services in leadership training with young women from all over
Africa and the Diaspora; using documentary and multi-media to strategically echo
African youth's demands for accountability from their governments and international
economic decision makers for increasing financial support to HIV/AIDS infected
women and girls.
Guatemala Project
Girl Edge Films has partnered with WULF Media to document the
continuing gender inequity in all aspects of women's lives in Guatemala. Urgent
action is needed in light of the recent signing of the Central American Free
Trade Agreement and it's potentially devastating impact on the indigenous women
artisans/weavers of Guatemala.
We will spend six weeks in Guatemala interviewing women and their experiences
related to economic justice, peace and security and art and culture.
Congo Project
Girl Edge Films has partnered with Femmes et Solutions pour Tous, a Congolese
NGO to train Congolese women in armed conflict zones on how to use
media communications to tell their stories and gain access to global
communities.
Help Lesotho
Girl Edge Films has partnered with Help Lesotho, a non-profit Canadian organization
